I was on my feet for most of the show and for the first few wears, by Act 2 my feet were aching. There should be some padding for the ball of the foot, however. I find this odd because I also have a pair of beige Capezio 653 Manhattan character shoes which have straps that are plenty long. However a few blasts of the hairdryer followed by a bit of pulling made them just long enough to fasten. However the strap was quite tight - I have a high instep and when I first put them on I couldn't do up the strap at all.

The fact that they're leather was a plus for me as my feet don't like synthetic shoes and the leather was comfortable. I got these shoes in black for a show and they certainly look great.
